Pillars of eternity ii deadfire romances9/25/2023 ![]() ![]() They are not the Huana she cares about preserving. ![]() Because their entire system revolves around her funneling resources there, which she doesn't want to do because feeding her own people is less a priority than appearing strong in front of Rauatai and the Vailians, The whole "Defending her culture" aspect looks a lot less awesome when you see she regards the largest of the caste as disposable to her. While she did "inherit" the Gullet, there's no exaggeration she's also 100% the one making it worst. ![]() No Triple Crown Solo or The Ultimate, either. No achievements for romances, and no achievements that can't be gotten by reloading a save or two on a single playthrough this time around, since they're linked to the game's New Game+ mechanic (Berath's Boons). You can romance everyone except Pallegina and Eder. The Vailians do in fact mostly leave Huana culture alone as promised even if the Kahangas fade from power, but Rauatai erases the Huana as surely as Onekaza always feared. The Gullet is unforgivable, but it's partly something she inherited rather than made, and I can see it being viewed as a choice between the misery of the Roparu and the extinction of the Huana, at least in her eyes. Part of it is that she's trying to hold onto her people's culture, which I can respect, in the face of slavery and conquest. I knew better than to trust her completely, but it wasn't until her plan for Castol and the powderhouse that I washed my hands of all four factions. Onekaza is much more ruthless, but I'll admit to being charmed by her. The caste system is terrible, but he surprised me by actually being willing to accept any solution to alleviate it. I had an idea in my head of Queen Onekaza being willing to overturn the caste system eventually, but I think that mostly comes from her brother. ![]()
