Their sheltered pavilion is perfect for outdoor group meetings. Although their lake area and beach were closed, their heated swimming pool sparkled and was clearly being enjoyed even this late in the season. Paved roads and paved campsites throughout the campgrounds were clean and well maintained. Their modern, well-stocked camp store offers not only groceries, RV/camping accessories and supplies but fast-food and ice cream in their snack bar as well. The check-in counter resembles one in a well-run hotel. It's obvious that the owners put a lot of thought and effort in the construction and layout of this facility and its maintenance. These folks sure do love their power tools.Ĭheck-in parking in front of their main building will accommodate the largest RVs. Overall the place is well-kept, and by that I mean the grounds themselves are kept meticulously. Using my iPad (wi-fi enabled only) the best time (the ONLY time) I get anything is either very LATE at night or very early in the morning, whichever way you want to look at, 1:30 AM. You're better off using 3G (which is what my iPhone uses). Almost forgot to add that the wi-fi here is piss poor and that is being kind. If the owners and/or management would sink a bit of money into the buildings for much-needed upgrades & maintenance, I would rate it a 5 out of 5, but the poor condition of the shower and laundry facilities lose it at least 1 full point. Bathrooms need flow-through ventilation (not A/C but a breeze would be nice). 25¢ showers (needed 50¢ for a fully cleansing shower). Bathrooms & laundry facilities in dire need of upgrades (half of the washers were out of order & the dryers sounded like jet engines).
